The Divya Prabha Eye Hospital was started in 1998 by Dr. Suseela Prabhakaran on leaving Government service. Initially started as a small eye clinic Divya Prabha has now grown to a full fledged eye hospital with a modern operation theatre complex and inpatient facility.
The theatre complex is equipped with the latest imported equipments and has been designed with a sterile air corridor with separate theatres for Cataract & Glaucoma surgeries, emergency surgeries and septic procedures.
To ensure that all sections of society have access to the latest in eye care the hospital is sponsoring cataract surgery at subsidised rates for people from low financial background. Under the Dr. N. Prabhakaran Memorial Eye Camp Scheme the hospital will be sponsoring two cataract surgeries per week at a subsidised rate.
